Very predictable result when ninth ranked San Miniato (10-9) rolled over at home 15th ranked Torino (2-17) 91-51 on Sunday. San Miniato dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Torino's 16. San Miniato forced 22 Torino turnovers and outrebounded them 36-20 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Senegalese Serigne Sam Gaye (198-96) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. Alessandro Di Noia (192-88) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Center Alessandro Panzieri (201-95, college: High School) answered with 8 points and 9 rebounds and guard Manuel Di Matteo (190-96) added 10 points in the effort for Torino. Torino's coach Antonello Arioli gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. San Miniato moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Desio. Loser Torino keeps the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. San Miniato will face Trecate (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Torino will play against Piacenza and hope to win that game.
