Regular Season Round 18: Nassjo - Sodertalje 66-76

Basketligan top team - Sodertalje Kings (19-2) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Nassjo (11-11) 76-66. The game was mostly controlled by Sodertalje Kings. Nassjo managed to win second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Croatian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Skyler Bowlin (190-89, college: Missouri So.) chipped in 16 points and 4 steals. Four Sodertalje Kings players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Cole Darling (203-91, college: Wright St., agency: Dynamics Global Management) who recorded 28 points and 6 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and his fellow American import forward Dartaye Ruffin (205-91, college: Drexel, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sodertalje Kings have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-2 record. Loser Nassjo keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. Sodertalje Kings will meet at home Sundsvall Dragons (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nassjo will play against Boras Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
