Very predictable result when fourth ranked Palermo (13-6) won against on the road 9th ranked Catanzaro (11-8) 60-54 on Sunday. Palermo made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for point guard Daniele Merletto (175-93) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Riccardo Antonelli (203-88) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Giacomo Sereni (202-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and guard Tomas Di Dio (189-88) added 12 points in the effort for Catanzaro. Palermo maintains fourth place in B with 13-6 record, which they share with Crema. Loser Catanzaro dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Palermo will face league's leader Roma E-basket at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Catanzaro will play against Empoli (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
