No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Tartu U. (4-8) beat on the road bottom-ranked Cesis (1-12) 56-51. The guests were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 15-4 Cesis' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 56-51 at the end of the game. Tartu U. forced 19 Cesis turnovers. Forward Kadri Uiga (183-97) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Estonian forward Nele Laurimaa (178-93) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Tartu U.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Baiba Cevere produced 12 points and point guard Amanda Betlere (172-97) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Tartu U. maintains ninth position with 4-8 record. Cesis at the other side stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Tartu U. will have a break next round. Cesis will play again against Tartu U. (#9) and hope to win that game.
