Regular Season Round 17: Marghera - Crema 61-68

Very expected game in Venezia where 8th ranked Marghera (7-10) was defeated by second ranked Team Crema (14-3) 68-61 on Sunday. Marghera trailed by 15 points at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 26-16 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 61-68 at the end of the game. Guard Paola Caccialanza (175-89) stepped up and scored 13 points for the winners and Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (185-84) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Team Crema players scored in double figures. Guard Erika Striulli (170-90) responded with 21 points and 4 assists and forward Carla Fabris (185-86) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Team Crema maintains second place in A2 with 14-3 record having five points less than leader Broni. Newly promoted Marghera dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost.
