Regular Season Round 15: Nantes - Arras 91-65

Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Nantes Reze (5-9) smashed at home bottom-ranked Arras (2-12) 91-65. The game was mostly controlled by Nantes Reze. Arras was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nantes Reze had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Arras' players. It was an exceptional evening for Spanish swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Canadian-British guard Shona Thorburn (178-82, college: Utah) accounted for 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Five Nantes Reze players scored in double figures. Nantes Reze's coach Emmanuel Coeuret felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dutch forward Chatilla Van Grinsven (190-89, college: St.Joseph's, agency: LBM Management) came up with 24 points and 9 rebounds and forward Jenny Fouasseau (179-92) added 16 points respectively for Arras in the defeat. Nantes Reze maintains tenth place with 5-9 record. Arras at the other side stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Nantes Reze will play against higher ranked Lyon (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Arras will play against the league's leader Lattes Montpellier (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
