There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Cagliari CUS (4-13) won against at home 11th ranked Orvieto (5-12) 79-70. Orvieto was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 22-10 third quarter run of Cagliari CUS. They outrebounded Orvieto 38-27 including 30 on the defensive glass.
