Regular Season Round 25: Baerum Basket - Kongsberg 70-78

The game in Bekkestua was quite interesting. Fourth ranked Kongsberg (11-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Baerum Basket (8-9). Kongsberg managed to secure a 8-point victory 78-70 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Baerum Basket. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 20-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Kongsberg forced 21 Baerum Basket turnovers. American guard Aareon Smith (193-93, college: Mo.-St.Louis) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import guard Brandon Boggs (196-92, college: W.Carolina) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Mike Bruesewitz (201-90, college: Wisconsin) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Stian Mjos (183-89) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Four Baerum Basket players scored in double figures. Baerum Basket's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kongsberg have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Baerum Basket at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Kongsberg are looking forward to face league's leader Ammerud Bskt in Oslo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Baerum Basket will have a break next round.
