Second Stage Round 2: VEF skola - Pardaguava 73-90

The most surprising game was a loss of VEF skola (6-4) in Riga on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Pardaguava (4-6) 90-73. The game was mostly controlled by Pardaguava. VEF skola managed to win second period 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pardaguava dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to VEF skola's 34. Pardaguava forced 20 VEF skola turnovers and outrebounded them 48-18 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Arnis Bebriss (195-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Inguss Immers (194-93) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Pardaguava's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Eduards Hazners (192-97) replied with 24 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and guard Kristaps Feikners (188-97) added 16 points in the effort for VEF skola. Pardaguava's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Riga to the arena RSU.
