The game in Al Khor supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Al Rayyan (15-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Al Khor (6-10). Al Rayyan smashed Al Khor 97-75. The game was mostly controlled by Al Rayyan. Al Khor was better in fourth quarter 30-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Al Rayyan forced 19 Al Khor turnovers and outrebounded them 47-36 including 21 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kwame Alexander (201-90, college: CS San Bernar.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. His fellow American import point guard Dominic James (180-86, college: Marquette) contributed with 25 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. Al Rayyan's coach Stergios Koufos felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ivorian-American swingman Charles Abouo (197-89, college: BYU, agency: Dynamics Global Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and American point guard Patrick Rembert (185-89, college: Cal-Irvine) added 28 points and 4 assists in the effort for Al Khor. Al Rayyan have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Al Khor at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Al Wakrah and Al Shamal. Al Rayyan's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Jaysh.
