Regular Season Round 17: Rapla - Kalev/Cramo 82-85

The most exciting game of round 17 in the Alexela KML took place in Rapla. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd placed Rapla (10-6) to leader Kalev/Cramo (12-0) 85-82 on Tuesday evening. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 25-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Latvian Rolands Freimanis (208-88, agency: Alti Sport) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Rain Veideman (192-91) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Indrek Kajupank (200-88) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rapla. Kalev/Cramo have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Rapla at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with TLU/Kalev. Kalev/Cramo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rapla will play at home against TLU/Kalev and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
