Regular Season Round 37: Zhejiang CB - Jiangsu D. 111-93

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (18-19) lost to eighth ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (22-15) in Hangzhou 93-111 on Wednesday. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu Dragons' 44 and made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Jiangsu Dragons 48-28 including 33 on the defensive glass. American forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and Iranian forward Mohammad Samad Nikkhah Bahrami (199-83) accounted for 30 points and 7 rebounds. Five Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) came up with 45 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and the former international forward Lin Chang (206-88, college: Long Beach St.) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Jiangsu Dragons in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank maintains eighth place with 22-15 record. Loser Jiangsu Dragons dropped to the ninth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Shanxi Zh. and DongGuan L.. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will meet North Control (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jiangsu Dragons will play against DongGuan Leopards (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
