The game between fourteenth ranked Fujian (16-21) and 17th ranked Jilin Tigers (10-27) in Jinjiang on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Fujian outscored guests from Changchun 140-100. The game without a history. Fujian led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Jilin Tigers' 58. They outrebounded Jilin Tigers 44-26 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fujian shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Lebanese swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) nailed 28 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) accounted for 22 points, 13 assists and 4 steals. Fujian's coach WanJun Cui felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian-American point guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: CS Fullerton) came up with 27 points and 4 assists and American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Jilin Tigers in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Fujian moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Qingdao E. Loser Jilin Tigers keep the seventeenth position with 27 games lost. Fujian will meet at home higher ranked Guandong Tigers (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jilin Tigers will play against the league's second-placed Sichuan BW (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
