Rather predictable result in Gwynneville where first ranked United (18-8) beat 3rd ranked Illawarra Hawks (16-11) 80-73 on Thursday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Illawarra Hawks won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Illawarra Hawks were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Stephen Holt (193-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) who scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Chris Goulding (192-88) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
