There was no surprise in Tehran where 8th ranked Shah.Tabriz (4-19) was defeated by third ranked Chemidor (17-6) 78-67. Shah.Tabriz was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 41-28 second half run of Chemidor. They outrebounded Shah.Tabriz 38-18 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ivorian-French Herve Toure (205-82) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 16 rebounds. The former international point guard Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-94) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Chemidor's coach Dadfrnya allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Mohammad Sistani (181-86) replied with 18 points and Sajjad Pazrofteh added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Shah.Tabriz. Chemidor have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Chemidor maintains third position with 17-6 record having four points less than leader Petrochimi. Shah.Tabriz lost fourth consecutive game. Shah.Tabriz at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth place with 19 games lost. Chemidor will play against Samen (#7) in Mash'had in the next round. Shah.Tabriz will play on the road against the league's second-placed Naft Abadan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
