Very important is a road loss of third ranked La Union (19-15) against ninth ranked Lanus (13-20) on Thursday night. Visiting La Union was defeated by Lanus in Buenos Aires 82-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of La Union. American forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA, agency: Interperformances) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) supported him with 21 points and 4 assists. Millsap is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Lanus players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by American-Jamaican center Torin Francis (210-83, college: Notre Dame) did not help to save the game for La Union. American swingman Winsome Frazier (193-82, college: Mississippi St., agency: Interperformances) added 14 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lanus moved-up to eighth place.
