Regular Season Round 21: Caxias do Sul - Bauru 83-84

Fourteenth-ranked Caxias do Sul (5-15) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (16-4). The visitors from Bauru managed to secure only one-point victory 84-83. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Caxias do Sul won third quarter 26-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paschoalotto/Bauru dominated on the defensive end, holding Caxias do Sul to just 6 points in second quarter. The best for the losing side was center Marcao Vinicius (205-84) with 21 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Betinho Nardi Duarte (195-88) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Paschoalotto/Bauru have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 16-4 record behind leader Flamengo. Caxias do Sul at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against Rio Claro (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Caxias do Sul will play against Paulistano (#3) in Sao Paolo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
