Second Stage Round 5: Norrort - Alvik Basket 74-80

Basketettan top team - Alvik Basket (10-2) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat eighth ranked Taby Basket (3-8) 80-74. Taby Basket trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 20-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-80 at the end of the game. Alvik Basket made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Forward Mathias Liljeqvist (196-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and forward Richard Hartmann (203-89) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Kevin Taylor Lundgren (185-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists and Kasper Adolfsson scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Five Alvik Basket and four Taby Basket players scored in double figures. Taby Basket's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alvik Basket maintains first place in BEHN forts with 10-2 record. Taby Basket lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Alvik Basket will face league's second-placed Ostersund at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taby Basket will play against KFUM Fryshuset (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
