There was a small surprise when sixth ranked BHY Tiro Federal (9-17) won against 6th ranked Comunicaciones (8-16) in Mercedes 81-74 on Friday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. BHY Tiro Federal outrebounded Comunicaciones 41-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for point guard Tomas Acosta (180-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Emiliano Correa (189-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Cristian Romero (190-79) answered with 24 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Hernando Salles (183-79) added 11 points and 8 assists in the effort for Comunicaciones. Five BHY Tiro Federal and four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. BHY Tiro Federal maintains sixth place with 9-17 record which they share with defeated Comunicaciones. Comunicaciones lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 16 games lost. BHY Tiro Federal will face higher ranked Obera TC (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
