Regular Season Round 20: Limburg United - Antwerp 69-80

The most shocking disappointment of round 20 was a home defeat of 3rd ranked Limburg United (8-7) to fifth ranked Antwerp Giants (9-6) 80-69 in the game for the third place. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 42-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Carleton Scott (203-88, college: Notre Dame, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Mikh McKinney (185-92, college: Sacramento St., agency: Pensack Sports) who added 11 points during the contest. Four Antwerp Giants players scored in double figures. Scott Thomas (198-89, college: Bowling Green, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Barry Stewart (190-88, college: Mississippi St.) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Antwerp Giants have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Limburg United at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Aalstar and Brussels. Antwerp Giants are looking forward to face league's second-placed Spirou Charleroi at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Limburg United will play against the league's leader Oostende and is hoping to win this game.
