An exciting game was played in Belvaux. Residence faced Soleuvre. Guests from Bereldange (7-12) smashed host Soleuvre (5-14) 106-74. The game was mostly controlled by Residence. Soleuvre was better in fourth quarter 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Residence dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Soleuvre's 50. They outrebounded Soleuvre 49-33 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Residence players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Co.Carolina) nailed 41 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and British-Nigerian Oladapo Ayuba (198-86, college: UMKC) accounted for 19 points and 14 rebounds. Five Residence players scored in double figures. Residence's coach Amadeo Dias felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Derrick Barden (196-92, college: N.Colorado, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds and international point guard Pitt Koster (182-89) added 12 points respectively for Soleuvre in the defeat. Residence's next round opponent will be BC Mess (#3) in Mondercange, which may be the game of the day. Soleuvre will play on the road against Arantia in Larochette and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
