Very expected game when 14th ranked Lleida Basquet (6-14) was defeated at home by third ranked Lobe Huesca (12-8) 76-58 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Lobe Huesca. Lleida Basquet was better in second period 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lobe Huesca forced 23 Lleida Basquet turnovers. The best player for the winners was Serbian center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col., TX) who scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Lluis Costa (187-93) chipped in 18 points and 5 steals. Four Lobe Huesca players scored in double figures. Ukrainian power forward Volodymyr Gerun (208-94, college: Portland) produced 17 points and 4 steals and Dominican-American forward Emmy Andujar (198-93, college: Manhattan) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lobe Huesca maintains third position with 12-8 record having six points less than leader Palencia, which they share with Oviedo. Loser Lleida Basquet keeps the fourteenth place with 14 games lost. Lobe Huesca will face league's leader Palencia Baloncesto at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
