Regular Season Round 15: Roche - Aulnoye 74-51

LF2 round 15 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Aulnoye (13-2) against third ranked Roche (11-4) 74-51 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Aulnoye. The game without a history. Roche led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aulnoye to just 6 points in third quarter. Roche dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Aulnoye's 26. Roche forced 23 Aulnoye turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Aulnoye helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for naturalized Senegalese forward Mariame Dia (185-78) who led her team to a victory with 13 points and 9 rebounds. DR Congolese center Bernadette Ngoyisa (195-82) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Roche players scored in double figures. Roche's coach Emmanuel Body felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized DR Congolese forward Lorraine Lokoka (184-89) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Caroline Plust (170-93) added 9 points in the effort for Aulnoye. Roche have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 11-4 record having just one point less than leader Tarbes. Aulnoye at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Tarbes. Aulnoye will play next round against Montbrison trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Roche will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Reims on the road.
