Regular Season Round 16: Hokkaido L. - Toshiba BT 66-74

Rather predictable result in Saporro where fourth ranked Toshiba Thunders (20-10) defeated 7th ranked Hokkaido L. (14-17) 74-66 on Saturday. Hokkaido L. was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import center Brian Butch (211-84, college: Wisconsin) who added 8 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Ryota Sakurai (194-83) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toshiba Thunders maintains fourth position with 20-10 record. Hokkaido L. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 17 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will have a break next round. Hokkaido L. will play again at home against Toshiba Thunders (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
