There was no surprise in Sopot where 16th ranked Trefl (4-17) was edged by eleventh ranked Wilki Morskie (10-11) 75-73 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Trefl was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international swingman Pawel Kikowski (193-86) fired 20 points for the winners. Guinean-American guard Russell Robinson (185-86) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Five Wilki Morskie players scored in double figures. Sudanese center Ater Majok (208-87, college: Connecticut) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Tyreek Duren (183-91, college: La Salle) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Trefl's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wilki Morskie moved-up to eighth place, which they share with MKS DG. Trefl lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. Wilki Morskie will face higher ranked AZS Polfarmex (#6) in Kutno in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Trefl will play at home against Polpharma (#13) and hope to win that game.
