Very predictable result when fourth ranked Aris (12-5) won against 10th ranked Lavrio (6-11) in Thessaloniki 82-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Aris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Lavrio's 26. Aris forced 19 Lavrio turnovers. American forward Okaro White (206-92, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) nailed 17 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Jerel McNeal (191-87, college: Marquette) accounted for 10 points. Four Aris players scored in double figures. American guard Demarius Bolds (193-84, college: Missouri Western) came up with 10 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and K Tsiggenopoulos added 11 points respectively for Lavrio in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Aris. They maintain fourth place with 12-5 record. Newly promoted Lavrio dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Aris will meet Aiolos Trikallon (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lavrio will play against the league's leader Olympiacos and hope to secure a win.
