Regular Season Round 16: Zabok - Jolly JBS 60-58

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked KK Zabok (4-10) edged at home 8th ranked Jolly (5-10) 60-58 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Jolly won fourth quarter 17-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KK Zabok forced 20 Jolly turnovers. It was a very good performance for power forward Domagoj Vukovic (208-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Center Hrvoje Vucic (212-91, college: Walsh) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Guard Jakov Mustapic (193-94) replied with 8 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 18 points in the effort for Jolly. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. KK Zabok maintains tenth position with 4-10 record. Loser Jolly keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. KK Zabok will face higher ranked Gorica (#5) in Velika Gorica in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
