Regular Season Round 18: Rapla - TLU/Kalev 78-71

The most important game in the last round took place in Rapla between third ranked TLU/Kalev (10-7) and fourth ranked Rapla (11-6) on Saturday night. TLU/Kalev was defeated by Rapla in a tough game on the road 71-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of TLU/Kalev. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-71. Rapla outrebounded TLU/Kalev 43-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Dutch center Thomas van der Mars (208-90, college: Portland) chipped in 21 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) with 20 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and American guard Tom Droney (197-91, college: Davidson) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four TLU/Kalev players scored in double figures. Rapla moved-up to third place. TLU/Kalev at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Rapla are looking forward to face TTU (#7) in Tallinn in the next round. TLU/Kalev will play at home against the league's leader TU/Rock and is hoping to win this game.
