Regular Season Round 18: Albino - Milano 62-55
Date: February 6, 2016
The game in Albino was also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers Milano (11-7) played at the court of fifth ranked Albino (11-7). Albino managed to secure a 7-point victory 62-55. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Milano won third quarter 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Laura Fumagalli (178-85) notched 17 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the effort and point guard Chiara Lussana (171-96) supported her with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Albino's coach Michele Pasqua allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds by British-Portuguese center Lavinia Da Silva (186-88) did not help to save the game for Milano. Forward Giulia Maffenini (175-92, agency: Two Points) added 15 points and 6 rebounds. Albino moved-up to fourth place in A2. Albino's next round opponent will be Virtus Cagliari (#14) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Milano will play against Scrivia (#12) and hope to win that game.
