Regular Season Round 17: ADBA - Oviedo 61-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 14th ranked ADBA's (1-16) home loss to thirteenth ranked Oviedo (3-14) in Aviles 61-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Oviedo. ADBA was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ADBA was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Carolina Ramos (190-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. Ana Fernandez (175-93, college: Canisius) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Oviedo's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Croatian forward Davorka Balic (188-88) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Andrea Malanda (164-90) added 15 points in the effort for ADBA. Oviedo maintains thirteenth place in Group A with 3-14 record. ADBA lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Oviedo will face higher ranked Badajoz BF (#11) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ADBA will play against C.Adelantados and hope to win that game.
