Regular Season Round 21: Udominate - Norrkoping 73-50

Very expected game when 7th ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (7-15) were smashed by second ranked Udominate (17-3) in Umea 73-50. The game was mostly controlled by Udominate. Norrkoping Dolphins was better in third quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Norrkoping Dolphins to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Udominate dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Norrkoping Dolphins' 20 and made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Udominate forced 26 Norrkoping Dolphins turnovers. The best player for the winners was international guard Frida Aili (180-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who scored 19 points. American guard Hollie Mershon (178-90, college: Drexel, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 12 points and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Finnish center Sofia Pelander (188-92) who recorded 9 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Tavelyn James (170-90, college: E.Michigan) added 18 points and 5 steals respectively. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Udominate. They maintain second place with 17-3 record having five points less than leader Lulea Basket. Norrkoping Dolphins lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 15 games lost. Udominate's next round opponent will be Sallen (#3) in Uppsala, which may be the game of the day.
