Very important is a road loss of third ranked Monaco (13-6) against seventh ranked Chalon/Saor (12-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Monaco was crushed by Chalon/Saor in Chalon 101-81. The game was mostly controlled by Chalon/Saor. Monaco managed to win third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio) produced 4 points and 12 assists and naturalized Ghanian Billy Ouattara (191-92) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Chalon/Saor moved-up to sixth place, which they share with ASVEL. Newly promoted Monaco dropped to the second position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Chalon/Saor will meet Chalons-Reims (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Monaco will play against Sluc Nancy (#14) and hope to secure a win.
