The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Valencia Basket (18-1) in Vitoria on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Laboral Kutxa (15-4) 79-73. It ended at the same time the 18-game winning streak of Valencia Basket. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 23-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Laboral Kutxa made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Valencia Basket's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Laboral Kutxa maintains third place with 15-4 record having just three points less than leader Valencia, which they share with Real Madrid. Valencia Basket at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Laboral Kutxa is looking forward to face Blusens Monbus (#14) in Santoago de Comp in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Valencia Basket will play on the road against FIATC Joventut (#10) in Badalona and is hoping to win this game.
