There was no surprise when 14th ranked Virtus Cagliari (2-17) was defeated on the road by second ranked Team Crema (15-3) 70-59 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 40-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Team Crema forced 25 Virtus Cagliari turnovers. The best player for the winners was Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (185-84) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Paola Caccialanza (175-89) chipped in 17 points and 5 steals.
