No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Cassino (14-6) crushed on the road 15th ranked Venafro (3-17) 102-53 on Sunday. They outrebounded Venafro 39-15 including a 31-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Luca Ianes (203-80, agency: SPORTlab Agency) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Filiberto Dri (190-89) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Cassino players scored in double figures. Guard Mario Tamburrini (187-94) replied with 14 points and swingman Massimilano Fossati (195-93) added 11 points in the effort for Venafro. Cassino moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Crema. Loser Venafro dropped to the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. Cassino will face Fondi (#15) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Venafro will play against Palestrina in Roma and hope to win that game.
