Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Martorell (5-12) lost to fourth ranked Santfeliuenc (10-7) in Sant Feliu 62-79 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Santfeliuenc. Martorell was better in third quarter 27-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Santfeliuenc forced 24 Martorell turnovers. Forward Eric Manes (194-87) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Alberto Farfan (193-91) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Guillem Jou (195-97) answered with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Sudanese center Deng Mayot (218-97) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Martorell. Four Martorell players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Santfeliuenc. They moved-up to third place in Group C-B, which they share with Igualada. Martorell lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Santfeliuenc will face Miramar (#6) in the next round. Martorell will play against Andorra II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
