Second Stage Round 5: LF Future - Talje 94-59

Very predictable result in Lulea where third ranked LF Future (6-2) smashed 8th ranked Talje Knights (1-6) 94-59 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by LF Future. Talje Knights was better in fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LF Future dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Talje Knights' 36. LF Future forced 23 Talje Knights turnovers and outrebounded them 48-21 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. LF Future looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Talje Knights' players. Swingman Mustafa Dibba (186-95) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Joel Svensson (185-94) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four LF Future players scored in double figures. Guard Peter Stumer (193-99) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Patrik Jaunzems scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. LF Future moved-up to second place in Superettan. Loser Talje Knights keep the eighth position with six games lost. LF Future will face IK Eos (#7) in Lund in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Talje Knights will play at home against the league's leader Solna Branten and hope to win that game.
