Regular Season Round 18: TKM Wloclawek - AZS PGd 77-67

There was an upset when higher ranked AZS PGd (11-7) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked TKM Wloclawek (3-14) 77-67 on Sunday. TKM Wloclawek made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Kamil Hanke (192-95) who scored 25 points. Point guard Mateusz Krawiec (187-87) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Aleksander Lebiedzinski (195-93) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and Lukasz Jaskiewicz (202-92) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted TKM Wloclawek maintains twelfth position in Group A with 3-14 record. Loser AZS PGd dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. TKM Wloclawek will face league's leader Kotwica in Kolobrzeg in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. AZS PGd will play at home against Pelplin (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
