Regular Season Round 20: Al Khor - Al Ahli 107-87

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Al Khor (7-10) crushed at home bottom-ranked Al Ahli (1-16) 107-87 on Sunday. Al Khor looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by Ivorian-American swingman Charles Abouo (197-89, college: BYU, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 7 assists and American point guard Patrick Rembert (185-89, college: Cal-Irvine) supported him with 41 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 41 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds by American guard Terrence Joyner (190-88, college: Miss.Valley St.) did not help to save the game for Al Ahli. Ndoye Elhadj added 23 points and 15 rebounds for the guests. Al Khor moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al Wakrah and Al Shamal. Al Ahli lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Al Khor will meet Al Shamal (#6) in the next round. Al Ahli's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Jaysh.
