Regular Season Round 18: Gimbasket PRZM - KK Warszawa 81-82

The most exciting game of round 18 in the 2Liga took place in Przemysl. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Gimbasket PRZM (11-7) to eighth ranked KK Warszawa (8-9) 82-81 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Dariusz Sarnacki (196-93) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Pawel Hybiak (173-89) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Tomasz Krzywdzinski (200-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Grzegorz Plocica (190-80) added 18 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively. Four Gimbasket PRZM players scored in double figures. KK Warszawa moved-up to sixth place in Group B. Gimbasket PRZM lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Ostrow Mazow.. KK Warszawa are looking forward to face Rosa III Radom (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Gimbasket PRZM will play against the league's leader Ksiezak Lowicz (#1) and is hoping to win this game.
