The game between second ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (12-5) and sixth ranked Meridiano Alicante (11-6) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Fontedoso Carrefour was crushed by Meridiano Alicante in Alicante 61-100. The game without a history. Meridiano Alicante led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Point guard Adrian Fuentes (183-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points. Forward Jon Aramburu (204-92, agency: Duran International) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Aramburu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Meridiano Alicante players scored in double figures. Meridiano Alicante's coach Kuko Cruza felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Alvaro Lobo (192-92, agency: Duran International) answered with 18 points and American-Ugandan forward Brandon Sebirumbi (205-90, college: Furman, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 10 points in the effort for Fontedoso Carrefour. Meridiano Alicante moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Fontedoso Carrefour at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Meridiano Alicante is looking forward to face league's leader Marin on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fontedoso Carrefour will play against CB Tarragona 2017 and is hoping to win this game.
