Regular Season Round 36: Iwate Big Bulls - Gunma 82-61

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Gunma (14-18) was rolled over on the road by seventh ranked Iwate Big Bulls (15-15) 82-61 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 51-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Iwate Big Bulls outrebounded Gunma 42-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) who scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Patrick Sanders (201-85, college: Cal-Irvine, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. Iwate Big Bulls' coach Geoffrey Katsuhisa felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who recorded 21 points and power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: Inception Sports) added 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Iwate Big Bulls maintains seventh position with 15-15 record. Gunma lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 18 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will face Saitama Broncos (#11) on the road in the next round. Gunma will play against Akita Happinets and hope to win that game.
