No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Desio (11-9) beat on the road 11th ranked Volpino (7-13) 88-79 on Sunday. Desio made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Forward Andrea Negri (193-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Guard Daniele Quartieri (195-87, agency: SPORTlab Agency) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Desio players scored in double figures. Point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) replied with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Michele Squeo (206-89) added 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Volpino. Desio moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with Vicenza. Volpino lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Desio will face Varese Coels.
