Very expected game when 13th ranked Cagliari CUS (4-14) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Torino (7-11) 88-64 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 24 points. Torino dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Cagliari CUS's 34. Torino forced 21 Cagliari CUS turnovers. American guard Yvonne Anderson (170-90, college: Texas, agency: Two Points) scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Jenna Smith (191-88, college: Illinois, agency: Two Points) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Torino moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Umbertide and Napoli. Loser Cagliari CUS keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Torino will face higher ranked Familia Schio (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cagliari CUS will play against San Giovanni (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
