Regular Season Round 19: Auxilium TO - AV Cantu 79-72

Bottom-ranked Auxilium TO managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses. This time newly promoted Auxilium TO won against tenth-ranked AV Cantu in Torino 79-72. After very bad start, AV Cantu stormed back in the second period cutting the deficit to 2 points 34-32. But it was not enough and Auxilium TO took back the control in second half. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to AV Cantu's 34 and made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian forward Ndudi Ebi (206-84) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds. American D.J. White (206-86, college: Indiana) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Ukrainian center Kyrylo Fesenko (216-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks and American power forward JaJuan Johnson (208-89, college: Purdue) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for AV Cantu. Five Auxilium TO and four AV Cantu players scored in double figures. Auxilium TO (6-13) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with VL Pesaro and Betaland CdO. AV Cantu at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Auxilium TO will play against higher ranked Vanoli Cremona (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AV Cantu will play against Enel Brindisi (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
