Rather expected game when 9th ranked Haneda Vickies (2-3) were smashed by seventh ranked Mitsubishi K. (4-1) in Nagoya 74-53 on Sunday. The game without a history. Mitsubishi K. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Mitsubishi K. outrebounded Haneda Vickies 57-39 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Haneda Vickies' players. The former international swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and international center Asako Oh (189-87) accounted for 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Yuki Morimoto (177-84) came up with 8 points and 12 rebounds and Shibuya Satsuki (168-98) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Haneda Vickies in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mitsubishi K. have a solid series of three victories in a row.
