Important game to mention about took place in Tripoli. Third ranked Hoops Club (6-2) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Al Moutahed (4-4) 77-75 on Monday evening. Al Moutahed was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 20-13 charge of Hoops Club, which allowed them to win the game. Al Moutahed was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international swingman Antwain Barbour (196-82, college: Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American swingman William Byrd (201-85, college: Ark.-Pine Bluff) chipped in 26 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Michael Taylor (186-86, college: Iowa St.) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Hoops Club have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Homenetmen. Al Moutahed at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Byblos. Hoops Club's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beirut Sagesse.
