Regular Season Round 17: Maccabi Raanana - Hapoel Migd.H. 78-76

Eighth-ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (7-10) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Maccabi Raanana (11-6) on Tuesday. Maccabi Raanana managed to secure only two-point victory 78-76. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hapoel Migd.H.. The best player for the winners was American forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard Rian Pearson (193-90, college: Toledo) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) and guard Itamar Mor (188-94) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi Raanana have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 11-6 record. Hapoel Migd.H. at the other side dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Ramat Hasharon and Maccabi H/H. Maccabi Raanana are looking forward to face Elitzur Yavne (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Migd.H. will play against Hapoel B/S (#4) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
