The most exciting game of round 37 in the LNBP took place in Lagunera. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th ranked Jefes (16-17) to eighth ranked Correcaminos (12-20) 99-98 on Thursday evening. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 31-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Correcaminos made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. American Theron Laudermill (202-89, college: CS San Bernar.) stepped up and scored 22 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Brandon Davis (198-88, college: Lamar, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 22 points. Laudermill is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American-Puerto Rican Javier Mojica (190-84, college: Cent.Conn.St., agency: Paris Global Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Rayes Gallegos (188-90, college: Nebraska) scored 26 points. Five Correcaminos and four Jefes players scored in double figures. Correcaminos moved-up to seventh place. Jefes at the other side keep the fifth position with 17 games lost. Correcaminos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Jefes will play again at home against Correcaminos (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
