Very important is a road loss of third ranked Bucaneros (11-5) against ninth ranked Toros (5-10) on Thursday night. Visiting Bucaneros were edged by Toros in a tough game in Maracay 88-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bucaneros. Bucaneros were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch.
